What is Hometown Events?
Hometown Events helps people discover local events, vendor markets, craft fairs, farmers markets, garage sales, auctions, food truck events, fundraisers, car shows, and community happenings.
Is Hometown Events available nationwide?
Yes. Browse and filter events by state, region, county, city, and nearby locations across the United States.
Organizers
Can I create an event?
Yes. Organizers can create event listings with dates, location, category, description, images, vendor details, and attendee information.
Can I accept vendor applications?
Yes. Organizers can connect vendor application forms to events, review submissions, and manage approvals from the organizer dashboard.
Can I create booth layouts?
Yes. Pro and Premium plans include booth layout tools so you can map booth spaces, set pricing, and share layouts with vendors on your event listing.
Vendors
Can vendors apply to events?
Yes. When an organizer enables applications and connects a form to an event, vendors can apply directly through that event's application flow.
What is the Vendor Passport?
Vendor Passport helps vendors save business details, categories, and documents so future event applications are faster to complete.
Payments and fees
Are there platform fees?
Yes. Hometown Events platform fees may apply to online payments, depending on the organizer's plan.
What is the free plan online platform fee?
The free plan online platform fee is currently 5% + $1.00 per online payment, with a minimum platform fee of $0.50 where applicable.
Are Stripe processing fees separate?
Yes. Stripe processing fees are charged separately by Stripe and may vary based on payment method, card type, location, refunds, disputes, and other Stripe rules.
Are manual payments charged a platform fee?
Manual/offline payments do not have an online Hometown Events platform fee collected through Stripe.

Why would an organizer subscribe?
Paid plans may reduce platform fees, unlock more organizer tools, improve event promotion, and add features for vendor management, forms, layouts, and payment workflows.
