1. Applicability
These Supplemental Terms apply to organizer accounts, vendor accounts, organizer profiles, vendor profiles, and any listings or promotional content submitted by such users. General users who occasionally submit community listings are also subject to listing accuracy and conduct requirements herein.
2. Listing Responsibilities
- Submit only listings for real events, sales, markets, fundraisers, or community activities you are authorized to promote.
- Keep listings current and remove or update outdated information promptly through account tools or by contacting support.
- Ensure titles, categories, images, flyers, and descriptions accurately represent the activity.
- Disclose material conditions such as admission fees, age restrictions, parking limitations, and cancellation policies where known.
- Accept that all listings are subject to review, re-review after edits, and removal for policy violations.
3. Accuracy Requirements
Vendors and organizers must provide accurate identity, business, contact, and event information. Misrepresentation of host identity, charity status, sponsorship, venue affiliation, or pricing is prohibited and may result in immediate removal and account termination.
4. Vendor Obligations
- Maintain valid business registrations, permits, and licenses required for offered goods or services.
- Comply with tax collection, labeling, food safety, and consumer protection laws.
- Honor quoted prices and material terms unless lawfully modified with clear notice.
- Respect organizer and venue policies at events where you participate.
- Do not use listing contact data to spam organizers or attendees.
5. Organizer Obligations
- Secure venue permissions and applicable event permits.
- Provide safe environments for attendees and vendors to the extent under your control.
- Communicate schedule changes, access instructions, and safety information.
- Handle refunds or attendee communications for ticketed or paid events you operate, unless Hometown Events explicitly assumes that role in a separate written agreement.
- Respond to good-faith vendor and attendee inquiries related to your events.
6. Insurance Recommendations
Hometown Events does not provide event insurance. Organizers and vendors are strongly encouraged to maintain appropriate general liability, property, product liability, and professional insurance coverage for their activities. Requirements may vary by venue, municipality, and event type.
7. Compliance with Local Laws
You are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable federal, state, county, and municipal laws, including zoning, noise ordinances, fire codes, health department rules, raffle and gaming regulations, ADA accessibility obligations, and charitable solicitation requirements.
8. Event Cancellation Obligations
If an event is cancelled, postponed, or materially changed, organizers must update or request removal of affected listings as soon as practicable and communicate with vendors and attendees through appropriate channels. Failure to update cancelled events may result in listing removal and account restrictions.
9. Changes to Approved Listings
Approved listings may not be directly edited in ways that bypass re-review. Material changes require resubmission for administrative approval to protect public accuracy. Duplicate listing tools may be used to create new submissions based on prior approved listings where available.
10. Communication Responsibilities
Contact information published in listings must be monitored by the responsible organizer or vendor. You agree to receive Platform-related transactional communications at your registered email address.
11. Featured and Promotional Listings
Featured or promoted listings must still comply with all content standards. Promotional placement does not waive accuracy obligations or imply Hometown Events sponsorship of the underlying event.
12. Indemnification
Vendors and organizers agree to indemnify Hometown Events for claims arising from their events, products, services, listings, and interactions with attendees or participants, as described in the Terms and Conditions.
